LivR4 Mama Kelly

Hi!! My name is Julie Kirby and I am one of many friends working to help our friend, mom, wife get a living liver donor transplant. Around six years ago, Kelly was diagnosed with non-alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver. In March 2022, she was rushed to the hospital where she was diagnosed with a splenic aoritc anuerysm rupture and all of the doctors are amazed by her story. She is the only one to survive a rupture in this area of the spleen. After receiving many tests and assessments at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, it has been established that Kelly requires a Living Liver Donor to proceed with a liver transplant. She believes there is joy even in the midst of affliction. She laughs loud, loves hard, and communicates to educate others. Her goal through the living donor process is to be able to tell her story… be a mother, educate people of this incredible hope, and stay true to her friends she has met along her walk. She trusts God to select the right person who will share in her story of faith! All the continuous testing, travel back and forth to her transplant team in Chicago, and her prior illness has placed her in a difficult financial situation. Being sick is expensive and the fear of not having the money to move forward with treatment is a frightening situation for anyone! Please please help fund Kelly's medical expenses, including costs to find a donor, travel to Chicago for testing and treatment, and just get by day to day.
