GUESS WHAT?! THE LOPEZES ARE GOING TO COLOMBIA!!!

The Lord has blessed us with the incredible opportunity to head to Colombia to share The Gospel! We will be staying in Popayan - about a 50 min flight from Bogota - from June 20th - June 29th.

Maria will get to assist with a Women's Empowerment Program, the local missionaries currently lead for the ladies in the community, teaching them to utilize their gifts and skills to become businesswomen and provide for their home. Alex will get to join the men on the team in the Convoy of Hope warehouse, sorting inventory, building emergency kits and assisting with maintenance projects on the property, such as painting, electrical and repairs. Together, we will get to venture to local schools, joining Convoy of Hope in their mission to prepare hot meals, love on the kids and host Vacation Bible School for them. With the help of our church, the local church missionaries in Popayan were able to start a farm back in 2020 and we will also get the opportunity to work the very land they got to sow into! We will be helping plant seeds, pick fruit, and even feed the pigs!

We are so excited for our first missions' trip together as a married couple! God has made it abundantly clear that He is calling us to serve in Popayan together and we would love your support as we prepare to embark on this journey.

First and foremost, we ask for your prayers for us and our team of 28 others that will be venturing to Colombia. We pray for God to use us for His honor and glory! We also, specifically, pray for the children, families and community we will be working with in Popayan! We pray for God to begin preparing their hearts now to receive The Gospel so their lives may be transformed by the Mighty God we serve!

Another way you can support us is by giving financially. This trip is individually funded; therefore, we are raising support to go. Anything you could bless us with would be greatly appreciated and utilized to further The Gospel and make His name known! The total cost for us both is $4,200. We are relying on The Lord for wisdom and provision as we seek to raise financial support. We serve an Almighty God who is able to do all things, and we trust our funds will be provided in full!
