Hi, my name is Timothy Carl and I’m 52 years young. I’m formerly from Rochester, NY and now living in Palm Springs, CA.

In 2022 I was diagnosed with severe Meniere's Disease. Meniere's Disease has impacted my life with constant debilitating vertigo, imbalance, daily bouts of nausea and frightening conscious seizures and the physical injuries caused from daily falls. In January of 2023 I was hospitalized for 10 days because of the daily effects of the disease and a subsequent stroke from the stress. I was fortunate to have received prescribed hearing aids to help with my rapid hearing loss. I've also been receiving acupuncture, chiropractic treatments, physical therapy as well as psychological help so I can better understand my situation. I am scheduled to have two surgeries in February 2023 on my inner ears related to the disease. There is no cure for Ménière's, it’s a rare disease but consistent treatments and surgeries can make a difference.

As a result of all of this, my life has completely changed. I have applied for disability which may take several months. Consequently, I'm no longer able to continue my work as a massage therapist and I'm faced with losing my apartment.

Monies donated will help me to get my back rent paid and secure reliable transportation as I'm no longer able to drive as well and hopefully keep me financially safe until my disability goes through.
