My Story

I never imagined that a single illness could change every part of my life—but that’s exactly what happened when I got Lyme disease.

At first, my symptoms were a bullseye rash overwhelming fatigue, headaches, pain, and a body that no longer felt like my own. I got treatment but over time, those symptoms just returned followed by new ones. Everyday tasks—not beingable to work, thinking clearly, even resting—started to feel like uphill battles.

Like many people with Lyme disease, I have had to advocate for myself. The improper treatment and doctors not knowing much about Lyme disease meant my symptoms worsened and became chronic. What most people don’t realize is that Lyme disease can affect the nervous system, joints, energy levels, and mental clarity—sometimes for years.

Today, I’m doing everything I can to heal, but the cost is heavy. Ongoing medical care, treatments, medications, supplements, and basic living expenses have become overwhelming—especially while my ability to work is limited by my health.

I didn’t ask for this illness, and asking for help doesn’t come easily. But I’m sharing my story because I truly need support.
