Dear Friends and Family,
It is with the deepest sadness that we share Dr. Linda Semien Guillory passed away on November 20, 2020. We are all heartbroken. She was a beloved mother, grandmother (Dr. Nana to them), sister, educator, entrepreneur, author and a dear friend to many.
Her uplifting spirit inspired us daily and her support was unwavering. She pushed us to be great with love, support, compassion and constructive criticism. She was our super hero, and in our eyes could do and did anything she set her mind to. Whether it was writing a book, building a website, obtaining her doctorate degree, or being a business owner. These are just a few of her accomplishments. She was indeed a phenomenal women and it is very hard to put into words the impact of losing her.
Prior to her death, hurricane Laura and then Delta barreled through Lake Charles, Louisiana. All of the trees were uprooted on her childhood property. During a recent conversation with her, she was upset mostly about the trees. I remember before hanging up saying "Mama, once you get things cleaned up we will plant more trees." My sister and I would have never thought in a million years she would not be here to see them replaced.
It is with this in mind that we have created a Living Tree fund to honor her and wanted to give everyone an opportunity to contribute. All funds will go to the purchasing and planting of large living trees.
