Greetings,

 

Some of you may or may not know, but my daughter (Shanika Jackson) health has been under attack for quite some time now, however she has not given up and we are declaring today is the day of he
r breakthrough.

 

We are incredibly proud that so many have experienced her loving and giving spirit.
“Nik-Nik” as most know her, has been a great mother, daughter, grand daughter, sister, auntie, cousin and friend.

Shanika, the greatest giver we know, needs help as she awaits a double lung transplant.

 

Shanika begin suffering a sudden health issues in 2016 forcing her to use 24/7 oxygen which she didn't. She was ashamed and trying not to depend on it. She continued to live normal and function like nothing has changed with what is called Interstitial Lung Disease/Lupus. ILD/Lupus has left her lungs scarred and a lung transplant is the only option.

 

With her care givers, Me as her primary support person, they will need to relocate us from our homes after waiting of what could be months, then surgery and additional months of rehabilitation will follow. 

 

On top of the physical toll and the emotional toll of being away from the comfort of home, friends, family, her son who is in college; there will be financial stress while living and recovering in a different facility. For the greater part of a year, we will have travel, transport, food, accommodations, and medical needs required. There will also still be multiple trips to and from hospital for follow-up care.

 

This is a challenging journey, but nothing too hard for God. We are asking for donations to help offset some of her medical expenses. Please share this page or keep us in your thoughts.
