My name is Shanice, and I’ve been fighting cancer since I was 23. I was first diagnosed with stage 3 invasive ductal carcinoma, a type of breast cancer, since then I am now facing a stage 4 incurable diagnosis with metastases to my bones, liver, lungs and lymph nodes.

In February 2026, after ongoing pain, I was given the news that the tumours in my liver have worsened quite a lot, my liver is extremely inflamed making it hard to breathe and the treatment I am on is no longer working.

I was told that if I decide to NOT continue with a new treatment plan, I would only have a matter of months left to live.

I have always said I would never go back on a strong chemotherapy again, but after consideration, I feel like this is the best option to prolong my life, have a better quality of life, and spend as much time as I can with people I care about.

The treatment that is ultimately the best option and will give me the best possible chance of extending my life is called ENHERTU. I am NOT eligible on the NHS in England due to my breast cancer hormone type. This treatment is expensive, and will cost £3,632 per cycle which is every 3 weeks.

Due to this being so expensive, me and my family will only be able to fund this for a matter of time. Which is why we are setting up this GoFundMe.

I will be starting this treatment as from Monday 9th March 2026, and this has only been made possible because of all of your donations and sharing of my story. My doctors and oncologists have stated that this is a new and very promising treatment line. I only have one or two lines of treatment options left, so I am very thankful to be given the opportunity to start this treatment line, as it has possibly given me an extra line of treatment to trial and ultimately more time.

I have a young nephew, and I want to be here as long as I can, and make as memories with him and my friends and family as possible, which is why this treatment is so important to me.
