Jacob returned from serving a two-year mission in upstate New York in October of 2017. As soon as he got home, he was ready to make an impact on the world. He immediately started meeting with local business owners to find out what it takes to succeed, researching scholarships to help him with school, and becoming a motivated student at Dixie State University.
Jacob underwent surgery on February 27th, 2018 to remove a large mass that turned out to be an aggressive form of seminoma.
Since he is a newly returned missionary and a poor college student, Jacob does not even have the assurance of a health insurance plan. The medical bills are just starting to rack up, and we anticipate many more expenses to come in the upcoming weeks.
Anyone who has ever met Jacob knows that he is passionate about life, and also a loveable goofball; he is so energetic and friendly. He loves dancing, singing at the top of his lungs, and going after his dreams. He is cheerful and fun to be around. Jacob has two young brothers and numerous cousins and it is not unusual for Jacob to start dance battles and other funny competitions during family events, and on his mission. Even as he is in a constant state of pain, he always has a smile on his face and time to spend with those in need.
In this difficult phase of Jacob's life, we are reaching out to friends and family for any help we can give him. We appreciate any amount you are able to donate in helping him in this battle against cancer. Please keep him in your prayers and help us spread the word.
We are beyond thankful for the time you have taken to read this campaign for our dearest son, brother, nephew, and friend.
