Living expenses for Rich Helfenstein

Over the years Rich has had many issues regarding his heart with multiple surgeries and appointments.  Most recently he was diagnosed with Lyme's Disease.  His body took it much harder then the average case, and ended up with a blood infection.  This landed him in ICU at Sanford Bemidji for a week.  He developed a brain bleed, and they took him by ambulance to Sanford Fargo.  He is now being treated for the infection, pneumonia, and monitoring the brain bleed.  Once that is under control, he will have to have surgery for a herniated disk in his back , and to repair a heart valve.  Rich is facing lots of hurdles and will need months and months of rehabilitation.  His wife Connie, has recently retired, so she has been able to be with him during this time, which is good for Rich, but financially hard on them.
