Living Expenses for Michael and AnnaMaria!

We know there are tons of urgent and important causes circulating at the moment, and so many families in financial need due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We are sending all of our love to everyone who is hurting right now.
However, today, we would like to ask for your love, help, and support for AnnaMaria and Michael Torres-Affee.
AnnaMaria is a single mother to two adult children living in Victorville, CA. Her son Michael is 47 years old. When Michael was just 3 years old, he contracted meningitis, leaving him paralyzed from the neck down. AnnaMaria is an incredibly doting and giving mother, and has devoted her life to providing a better quality of life for her only son.
In the midst of the pandemic, due to complications from an intestinal blockage, Michael was suddenly hospitalized and immediately separated from his mother. He has been in and out of three hospitals including Loma Linda Hospital, Arrowhead Regional, and Victor Valley Hospital. He spent over 4 weeks between Loma Linda and Arrowhead, and because of COVID precautions, AnnaMaria was unable to be with him. This was the first time he and his mom have been separated that long since his birth.
Although Michael was released from the hospital about a month ago, he is still recovering; AnnaMaria said she had never seen him so skinny in his entire life.
AnnaMaria is Michael's primary caretaker, so she does receive some money from the state, as well as disability. But with exorbitant medical bills looming during enormously difficult financial times, AnnaMaria has fallen behind on rent, water, and electric bills.
We are hoping to raise at least $10,000 to cover the next 3 months of expenses for AnnaMaria and Michael. We are a community, and it is our responsibility to band together to take care of our people, and lift the burden for those who are suffering. Any amount is beyond appreciated, and AnnaMaria is unbelievably grateful for the assistance.

**My family and I were introduced to the Torres-Affee's through our dear family friend, Steve Ornellas, who is AnnaMaria's landlord.
