My name is Melissa Mcabee. For you who know me, you know me as a person full of energy and always with a smile. How hard I work and how much I've been through these last years. I was diagnosed with cancer in 2007, which I was able to beat after years of painful surgeries and chemo. This past December I was diagnosed with Stage 3 triple negative cancer… again.

Unfortunately, these lifesaving treatments in 2007 left me with thousands of dollars in debt and during that time I also came across my ex-husband with another woman. Leaving me to build a life for myself and my two sons.
About three weeks ago, just after my diagnosis, I soon began my 5 month chemotherapy treatment. The doctors described my many tumors as too large to operate on at this point. They stated chemotherapy is my only option to decrease the tumors.

If the chemo is deemed successful, the doctors must act quickly and rush to surgically remove the tumors. An extremely necessary and expensive process.
Post operation, I will undergo another 5 month term of radiation to deplete the remainder of the tumors.
These treatments are necessary to save my life but unfortunately will cost hundreds of thousands of dollars over the course of my sickness. My MEDICAL covers a portion of the chemotherapy but will not cover my rent, home bills or food. The medical bills are mounting beyond comprehension, my bank account is tapped and I need your help in the most of ways.
For an uncertain and extended amount of time, I won't be able to work. I will require assistance 24 hours a day.
Since I can't afford to hire a nurse. My son, Matt, decided to make the sacrifice to leave his work and life behind to care for me 24/7. I'm spending most of my days in and out of the hospital. By the time I get home, I’m usually too exhausted from the chemo to accomplish the most simple of tasks.
In less than 8 weeks, I have been notified that if I do not make up my lease payments, I will be evicted from my home in the midst of my chemo treatment. Your donation will allow me to focus on healing, in my home with my dog by my side.
I am humbly asking for your donation.
Any amount will be deeply appreciated. No donation is too small.
I will keep you updated, share the progress of my recovery and be in personal contact with anyone who wishes me to.
Not only will I be cancer free AGAIN but I will laugh again. I will hold my Grandkids. I will be stronger than ever. I will survive.
But I can't do it without you, and I look forward to sharing the story of hope and love you’ve showed me to my Grandchildren one day. I will not let this Cancer defeat me.
I'm also asking you to please share this with your friends.
God bless you.
Melissa
