Living and Medical Expenses for Gina
Donation protected
Gina is our neighbor, our friend, our sister, and she is in the fight of her life. From the moment that you meet Gina, you know that she has a heart of gold. Gina’s life work has been in leading, supporting, volunteering and working with local civic and not for profit organizations like the American Red Cross for disaster relief and blood drives and QUOTA CLUB, a women’s civic group in Indiana, PA which provides financial support to help local organizations in need. She has served meals at homeless shelters. She has delivered food and clothing to those in need. She has provided counsel and a shoulder at women’s shelters. She has filled buses with school supplies. She has shown up to people’s home with the necessities for living after they have lost everything. She has given her time, her organizational and leadership skills and her paycheck to countless efforts to support the health and well-being of her community in PA and others around the country. She always has a smile, a willing heart and willing hands to help those in need regardless of their circumstance.
In typical Gina fashion, she told her network what was happening with a witty spin on it, so that we were not to worry too much about her, but now it is our turn to support her. While she has been shown tremendous love and support by her local friends and her community through fundraising campaigns, we are hoping that this effort will reach other communities and people who are willing to give.
Gina is truly humbled and grateful for all the fundraising, love and compassion that has been shown to her, but the fight is just beginning.
Gina has just started OPTUNE therapy and another round of Chemo. Her son Phoenix has postponed his college experience in Pittsburgh and opted instead to be her primary caregiver and attend local community college to be with her at home. She is surrounded by love with her family and friends. But the financial burden this illness places on her is enormous.
It is time to help Gina shoulder the financial burden of what the disability and medical insurance doesn’t cover. We don’t know how long she has to fight, but we DO know that she will do it as Gina does everything, with humor and grace.
Please consider a donation for living and medical expenses for our Gina. If you can't give now, give when you can, whatever you can. And please pray. Gina needs all of the thoughts, prayers and support we can offer our dear friend.
