Liver Transplant for Ms. Lexie Gillman
Donation protected
Dear Community Friends,
Lexie Gillman is a single mother, a teacher, and a dear friend that needs our help. Lexie has acute liver failure and is due for a liver transplant in March. Life for Lexie is hard, and rather uncertain right now.
After her transplant, Lexie will be in the hospital for at least three to four weeks and then be recovering at home for 6 months. During that six months’ time, she is not to be out in the public or be around many people. It will be essential that she quarantines herself and does not expose herself to any viruses or illnesses. This will help her have a better chance to become stable and not reject her new liver.
This will not be an easy stage of life for Lexie. She is a very caring and giving person that rarely thinks of herself. As her colleagues at Burton Elementary, we are trying to create a home environment to help her during her six-month isolation period after her transplant.
We are asking for donations to help spruce up her very stark back backyard and improve her bedroom for this convalescent period.
PROPOSAL:
With your donations, we will create a yard where she can relax and enjoy time outside without being in contact with other individuals. We will also spruce up her bedroom so that she can recoup peacefully.
BACKYARD
• Expand her small concrete pad to a larger patio.
• We would like to purchase outdoor furniture, that will be comfortable and relaxing.
• Purchase large planters filled with easy-care flowers and plants.
• Trees for shade.
• Repair the Sprinkler System.
BEDROOM
• Comfortable reclining Chair.
• T.V.
• New Comforter and pillows.
• Plants to brighten her room.
MEDICAL
• Donations to help with medical costs.
Every donation will count. We hope you will consider donating and helping this sweet lady in her time of need. Six months is a long time to stare at four walls. We hope to brighten her living spaces and brighten her spirits.
Thank you,
