Liver Transplant For Cha’Nya McHenry

Hi my name is Constance and I’m fundraising for my daughter Cha’Nya McHenry who was diagnosed at the age of 15 with Lupus, Mixed Connective Tissue Disorder and Autoimmune Hepatitis. Nya is currently 21 years old and due to the progression of her disease her liver is no longer functioning and she is in desperate need of a liver transplant. We currently live approximately 2 hours away from Piedmont Atlanta and the Mason Liver Transplant Clinic. She has to do physical therapy 3 times a week and also has to have paracentesis frequently. We have applied for Social Security Disability and are waiting for the approval. I am fundraising to help with the cost that the medical insurance doesn’t cover, the high copays for medication, medical supplies, travel and lodging. Cha’Nya has officially enrolled in online courses at Georgia Military College starting Fall 2 quarter session to pursue her Associates Degree in Pre-Nursing and plans to transfer to Valdosta State University or Georgia State University to finish her BSN. She desires to work in pediatrics especially with children that have autoimmune disorders. She also plans to work with the Transplant Department to give back to the very team that’s instrumental in her second chance at life. In her own words she Aspires to inspire before she expires.
