I would love for you all to meet my little sister Heather Lemons. Heather is 45 years old, a 1993 graduate of Martinsville High School, she attended Indiana University, and is a member of Liberty Christian Church. Heather has done great things in this world, but her biggest joy and greatest accomplishment is being a single mom to her 5 children - Kaitlynn 22, Clay 20, Jacob 19, Abigial 18, and Charlie-Ann 8.
Heather's life was recently turned upside down when she was diagnosed with end stage liver disease due to a blood clotting disorder that produced multiple clots in her liver causing it to fail. Heather is in desperate need of a liver transplant as soon as possible. She has lost over 100 pounds and is having difficulty with her appetite which is causing her to loose muscle mass. She is going to need intense medical care in the days to come and little Charlie-Ann will need extra support as well.
Heather lost her job due to being hospitalized and no longer has insurance. The medical bills are overwhelming and she still has the everyday struggles we all face. She cannot be put on the transplant list until she has insurance again. We are in desperate need for help and anything you could do would be greatly appreciated. We plan to do weekly updates to let everyone know how she is doing and the progress we are making. We all love our sister more than words can say. She is a vital part of our family and holds a special place in our hearts. We are praying that one of us can be a match, but we are not sure that is God's will. Whether it is a living donor or a complete donation...she is going to need help. We have faith God is going to do great things with Heather because he can move mountains!
