Los Angeles Live Music Community Fund – COVID-19

HELP US HELP OUR INDUSTRY
The live music community has been deeply affected by the COVID-19 crisis. Cancellations for all major music events and tours for the coming months have left artists, musicians, audio/playback engineers, techs, tour managers, production managers and staffing all in an unprecedented financial situation.
Behind every performance are many hard working individuals (usually acting as independent contractors or independently-owned businesses) whose commitment to the cultural experience of live music requires them to rely on periodic gigs for income throughout the year.
We at Electronic Creatives with our partners saw an opportunity to create awareness for the impact this crisis is having on our industry. As a growing network of audio/playback engineers, producers, musicians, etc., this fund will give 100% of proceeds to the LA-based music community that we comprise and that we have been a part of for the past 10+ years.
Please, if you are a patron of live music events with ability to give, or a member of the music community with ability to give, help us make this fund as impactful as possible for as many qualified individuals affected by this crisis as possible. If you are an affected individual, please thoughtfully fill out the form to be considered, and review application details within the link. Requirements:
– Must be a resident of greater Los Angeles for the past two years and active in live-music activities as the primary source of income acting independently or an independently-owned business
– Must be able to demonstrate proof of work lost due to COVID-19 related cancellations, and proof of past gigs

Disbursements will be made to qualified applicants only. Our goal is to create equal disbursements to all applicants, barring applicants in dire need. Please be patient and understanding as we work through this process; our goal is to be transparent and equitable to all parties involved.
