In Loving Memory of Ryley Lotz
#LiveLikeRyley
With shattered hearts, we share the devastating loss of Ryley Lotz, who passed away at just 19 years old.
On Monday evening, after finishing a hunt, Ryley was walking back to the house when he suffered a severe asthma attack that quickly turned into cardiac arrest. After an hour and a half of CPR, EMTs were able to regain a heartbeat and stabilize him for transport. He was placed on life support, but after 42 hours and multiple neurological exams, Ryley was pronounced brain dead.
Nineteen years was not nearly long enough for this incredible young man whose faith, positivity, and bright smile touched everyone around him. Ryley was the best big brother to Cadyn and Grayson, an important part of our wrestling family, and an avid outdoorsman who loved being in the woods. His upbeat personality, work ethic, and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Ryley’s parents, Mike and Brittanie Lotz, are now facing the unimaginable, grieving their son while carrying the weight of significant medical expenses from the emergency response and hospital stay. They also hope to keep Ryley’s brand-new truck, his first major purchase as an adult, which holds deep sentimental value to his dad, Mike, and represents a piece of Ryley’s spirit and independence.
This GoFundMe has been created to help the Lotz family with these unexpected expenses and to give them space to focus on healing, family, and honoring Ryley’s memory.
Your donations, prayers, and words of support mean the world. Please continue to lift up the Lotz family and honor Ryley’s life by choosing to #LiveLikeRyley—with faith, joy, and love for others.
Thank you for your generosity and compassion.
