Live2Ball 2021 in Memory of Pierce Slutzky

Hi, my name is Alex Yelon and I, along with many of my life long friends, am participating in Live2Ball’s 2021 Camp Summer Event. This organization raises a tremendous amount of money for cancer research each and every year. This year, we were given the freedom to raise money for any cause we would like. For 2021, we chose to raise money for the Brain Tumor Foundation. The Brain Tumor Foundation (BTF) is a non-profit organization that guides and supports patients, families and caregivers touched by a brain tumor. BTF also raises awareness about the need for the early detection of brain tumors.

In September of 2019, my step brother, Pierce Slutzky, lost his 3-year battle with brain cancer at the age of 17. Pierce was an amazing and inspiring little brother and fought as hard as he could each and every day while maintaining his addictive smile on his face. Pierce is my personal hero and I play in this tournament each and every year in honor
of him.
