Live the Dream....Kill the Cancer

Hello, my name is Dan O’Reilly, and I am a saxophone player and singer/songwriter blessed to be married for 22 years to my faith-filled and caring wife Lisa.

Nine years ago a doctor told me the words no one wants to hear, “You have cancer.” A rare and unusual soft tissue cancer called Myxoid Chondrosarcoma, which only affects about one hundred

people nationwide.

In 2017 my cancer metastasized into my lungs. Bad news for a sax player, but I embraced a healthy diet lifestyle with other natural remedies which slowed my tumor growth for six years.

Recently my cancer has become very aggressive, the tumors are spreading throughout my body, and my pain is increasing.

In hopeful news, I have been offered an opportunity to participate in a Phase One experimental cancer treatment at Duke Medical University in North Carolina.

I will be among the first human persons being tested and they offer no promises. It is not specifically for my unique cancer, and there are risks involved.

My wife Lisa left her job to devote herself to my care, as my ability to work and perform is slowly slipping away from me.

We are humbly asking for your help to manage our increasing medical expenses, household bills, prescription medicines, and the unexpected financial burdens yet to come.
