Hello, my name is David Gauthier, and the people that know me know I don't ask for handouts. I have been with my wife for 7 and 1/2 years and been married for 2 and 1/2 and we were promised to grow old together, But as of January 27th I spent three days in the hospital which in turn had me coming out of the hospital knowing that I had stage 4 appendiceal cancer which is of the appendix and it has spread into my liver and has 85% growths on it and my lymph nodes aren't looking good. So I've already been going through my first round of chemotherapy for the last 3 months and apparently I have more ahead of me after we find out how much has been helped. But right from the get-go I was told that this would not be treatment to save me just to extend the time I have. I was given three to six months if I did nothing and up to a few years if I take treatment and it works. So I am off work for the foreseeable future. My wife is still working to keep everything afloat but the time spent apart has become much harder then words can say. I am on a fixed income and have lost more then 2/3 of what I was making. I've always had a dream of going to Scotland and staying in a castle and I would love to take my wife on a nice experience like that before I can't. I need enough so that we don't lose out when she doesn't work for a couple weeks if we do a trip. It gets too expensive to really be much in my reach but it's been a dream of mine and hers to go so we would like to do one big special thing together before we can't. Any extra I can raise will just help take care of my wife and stepdaughter after I'm gone so that she doesn't lose everything right away. I want her to be protected more than anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
