I'm currently asking for a little help to save my husbands life.

As ex pats living in Spain for over 10 years we've done everything correctly becoming citizens and paying for private health insurance to now discover the antibiotics are NOT COVERED by insurance companies.

After seven weeks of diarrhoea and multiple visits to doctors discovered he has Clostridium difficille infection and was sent straight to hospital.

The current intravenous antibiotics are not helping and doctors are wanting to try Fidaxomicina (different antibiotics) the insurance company is refusing to cover the 1618 euro to try even with a 80% success rate.

After weeks of not being able to eat he's a third of his size, bones protruding, skin hanging, with bed sores from lack of flesh and inability to do anything but sleep and go bathroom.

I'm terrified to see my active, gym going husband,

disappear in to a shell of a man. This really is a last option and prayer to get him back up and his old self.

As a contagious bacteria I cant give him comfort and kisses, I just want him home and safe.
