Live Oak Wrestling Club (LOWC) was sanctioned in 2017 by Coach Jay Reyes, a long-time educator & coach who moved to the Santa Cruz area in 2016. Coach Reyes started LOWC to provide students in the Live Oak Community a year-round opportunity to stay active & participate in wrestling tournaments outside the regular school season. Since then, he has had an opportunity to meet so many amazing young wrestlers in the area and has recently decided to open the club to kids of all ages across Santa Cruz county.
We are so excited to see how quickly the club has grown and are working diligently to provide our members a place to learn more about the sport of wrestling and to challenge themselves to be "better than they were the day before, in EVERY aspect of their lives!"
We are asking for the community's help and support as we work to get LOWC up and running. All money raised from this campaign will help to fund new uniforms, practice facility fees, sports equipment, tournament costs, scholarship programs, and a possible trip to Fargo, ND for two of our female wrestlers who recently qualified for the National Tournament!
Our mission is to promote interest in the sport of wrestling within our community and to supervise, sponsor, and financially assist a disciplined and competitive program of wrestling. We aim to develop our members with the ideals of good sportsmanship, character, honesty, respect, good citizenship, and attention to academic success. Thank you,
LOWC
