From Cynthia:
“You may have noticed a slight change in my demeanor and temperament these last few months. You may be saying, ‘Cynthia is not as radiant as she once was! Not as witty as she once was!’ (If you recently joined the Staff, you wouldn’t know that I used to be pretty fast on the draw with sophisticated witticisms and biting one-liners, all whilst running around cleaning everything. ‘What’s up with Pennycooke?’ I hear you say! ‘AND what’s up with that cough?’
Well, dear friends. I have or rather my body has an illness that has spread into my lungs, hence the relentless coughing and spluttering. Other than that, I’m in the best of health.”
Friends and Family in the tribe of Pennycooke,
When Cynthia was diagnosed some two years ago, she started a very strict regimen of raw organic foods and natural, holistic and other alternative therapies. While a portion of her doctors’ visits are covered, none of the therapies, supplements, herbs, vitamins or treatments are covered by health insurance.
It should be said that even after continuing to work full time and adopting a very disciplined and austere lifestyle, the stress of going it alone has taken its toll. We’ve watched as our beloved fairy’s health, and light, has dimmed as the cancer has spread.
Cynthia has been proactive and accepts 100% responsibility for her healing. With that, she’s taken the next step in her process by traveling to a health facility aligned with her ideals that can support her in this process. Hippocrates Institute is renowned for the effectiveness of its wellness programs and caring environment. Unfortunately, it comes with a very costly price tag.
Here is where we, Cynthia’s extended family of colleagues and friends, can help to make a significant contribution to the process. We are raising funds to help keep Cynthia at Hippocrates as long as possible. We would like to raise $20,000 for Cynthia to be able to return to Hippocrates for the supplemental treatment therapies that she is finding helpful. Thanks to your generous contributions that only another $14,000 more to go.
Keep caring and sharing.
Thank you,
team Cynthia
