Live Like Charlotte was created to honor the life & legacy of Charlotte Rose Barton. 12 y/o old Charlotte suddenly & tragically lost her life 6 days after suffering a severe allergic reaction that caused anaphylactic shock. Anaphylactic shock is a severe, life-threatening allergic reaction. It occurs when the immune system overreacts to an allergen, such as food, medication, insect venom or latex, & releases a flood of chemicals that can cause the body to go into shock. Symptoms can include: difficulty breathing, rapid or weak pulse, hives, swelling of the throat & tongue, nausea & vomiting, dizziness or fainting. Immediate medical attention is required. If you or someone around you is experiencing symptoms of anaphylaxis, call 911 ASAP. Our Mission: Recognize, Educate & Raise awareness about the seriousness of life-threatening food allergies. Our Vision: Empower & Inspire those living with life-threatening food allergies not to live in fear. Advocate & be the voice that educates others because that's what our Char would do.
We are raising funds to create & launch a non-profit in Charlotte's memory. Thank you for taking the time to read about our sweet girl.
