Live Concert Recording

Hello, my name is Tasha LaRae. I am an international singer/songwriter of Soulful house and R&B music & a jewelry/fashion designer. I’ve had the pleasure of touring the world for 12 years as the lead female vocalist for the 2X Grammy award-winning hip-hop group, Arrested Development. I also had dreams of touring the world as a solo house music artist but as the pandemic of 2020 took our world by surprise, it immediately wiped out the band's touring schedule, cutting out over 90% of my income as a touring musician, and temporarily deflating my optimism about my musical & financial future.

Like many others, I experienced my share of worry, anxiety, fear of the unknown, grief, and healing from the traumatic loss of several family members during that time, but I was determined not to give up on my dreams of being a touring solo artist so I could spread positive, uplifting messages through music & fashion.

Near the end of 2022, I knew it was time for me to begin singing and performing again but I needed a more official way to re-introduce the world to my music & artistry. I also wanted to present myself in the most authentic, attractive, and professional way.

I believe the best way I can do this is to do a live recording of music I've created over the past 5 years including a few new songs that will be released in the near future. The concert will take place at 800 East Studios in Atlanta with myself and a 5-piece band. Due to the restrictions imposed during the pandemic, this concert will be streamed live and will not be performed in front of a live, studio audience.

The purpose of this concert is to re-introduce my artistry to my current fan base and attract new fans simultaneously, to attract the attention of show promoters & booking agents for future bookings (both nationally & internationally), to grow my followers on all my social platforms to a total of over 50K, and to obtain a visual & audio recording of the show to be released for sale at a later date.

My goal is to raise $10,000 to cover the following costs:

If this campaign surpasses its initial goal, those additional funds will be used to further future music projects and touring expenses.

Successfully bringing this live recording to life will allow me to propel my music career forward which means I'll be able to encourage, uplift, and inspire more people around the world to believe in themselves and their ideas, and not be afraid to step out of their comfort zone to make those ideas a reality - starting with every person who helps me to do the same.
