Live and Let Heal: Jesus E. Luna's 007 Cancer Mission

We are raising funds on behalf of our father, Jesus E. Luna, to help support him as he goes through treatment for pancreatic cancer so that he may heal in the comfort of his own home without financial stress.

In May of this year, while undergoing tests for what ended up being a bacterial infection, they discovered a tumor on his pancreas. He then underwent an endoscopy which revealed the tumor to be cancerous and a surgery was scheduled to remove his spleen and the tail of his pancreas.

In preparation for the surgery he has gone through many other tests including a PET scan in July that revealed the cancer has spread to the stomach, spleen, and has affected lymph nodes in his neck and chest. The tumor on his pancreas has also increased in size. With these new and unfortunate results the surgery was cancelled and we are moving on to Plan B, which is straight to chemo. He will begin treatment in the next week or so.

He has been diligent in applying for work since being laid off last year and has gone far in application processes, but with treatment starting soon he will not be able to take on work. His severance has run out and with medical bills rising our parents are now at risk of losing our family home.

This has all happened very fast, and it is difficult to ask for help, but we believe we are stronger together and could use support at this time. Even a simple kind message or shared memory goes a long way. We are beyond grateful for all the love and support we have received already.
