Hi, my name is Liv Ouellet, and I’m reaching out during one of the most challenging moments in my life. For the past six years, I’ve made my home in a modest apartment in NYC—a space that wasn’t just where I lived, but where I created, connected, and cultivated my passion for photography and temporary art installations. My apartment doubled as a private studio where I worked and shared this art form with others in a safe, intimate setting. I worked hard to make this space accessible to my friends and community-oriented, fostering connection and growth, and I want to continue doing so—better than ever—wherever I land.

Unfortunately, my time in this space has come to an abrupt and heartbreaking end. A building-wide bedbug infestation, coupled with mismanagement by the building's landlord and maintenance team, has made my home unlivable. After exhausting every possible avenue to address the situation, I’ve had to make the difficult decision to leave.

I wasn’t prepared for this sudden upheaval—emotionally or financially. While I’ve saved a small emergency fund for potential gaps in income, it’s nowhere near enough to cover the immediate and significant costs of relocating in New York City.
