LIU FANG MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

The Liu Fang Memorial Scholarship has been set up by her family to honor her desire to learn, her curiosity about the world and her love of family.  Liu Fang (known as Flora) was born in Beijing, Peoples Republic of China and was a 1988 graduate of Beidu (Beijing University) with a Bachelor’s degree in Physics. She had many friends and classmates from middle school, high school, university and work whom she talked with frequently.  They remember her for her kindness and gentle nature, as well as being independent, smart, curious, bright, beautiful and romantic.  Flora came to the United States when she married her husband, David Conrad and they lived in Palatine, IL, Guangzhou, P.R. China and Southern California.  Her family remembers Flora for her devotion to family, and for being a loving wife, mother and grandmother.  She passed away in May 2020 after a hard fought battle with cancer.
