An Appeal for Help for a Widow and Mother of Two Young Girls

The mother of one of our younger sisters is very sick.

Litu Barman, who is the only earning member of the family, lost her husband more than 12 years ago. On the night of June 1st, she felt dizzy and fell in the bathroom. Her spine broke, and she got a serious injury. In 2021, 60% of her lungs were also damaged. Because her diabetes is very high, she has become even more ill.

The final stage of her treatment is staying under observation in the hospital for 2 months. During this time, she needs to get one injection every week, and each injection costs 25,000 Taka. There are also many other medicine costs.

Including hospital bills, medicines, doctors, and all other expenses, the total cost is more than 1,000,000 (10 lacs) Taka.

Although some money has been collected from family and relatives, there is still a big amount needed. It is almost impossible for this woman’s family to manage this alone. If she does not get better after 2 months and cannot have an operation, she may become paralyzed.

In this difficult time, it is our human duty to stand beside Aunty.
