This fund has been setup by a group of coworkers and friends of Emma, David, and little Ruth.
Little Ruth was recently adopted from the Barking Lot rescue in San Diego, CA by Emma and David. They were beyond excited to welcome a furry new family member into their home. Upon bringing her home they realized she had what they thought was new home jitters, as Ruth wasn't eating so much or using the restroom like they'd expect. Only two days later they realized her condition was actually much worse, and rushed her to the emergency vet hospital on Saturday morning. Little Ruth spent two nights at the emergency vet clinic and had to undergo oxygen therapy and tests to diagnose what was found to be a severe case of pneumonia.
After bringing Ruth home on Monday, she showed initial signs of improvement. Both Emma and David have taken days off from work to help care for Ruth as she recovers. Today they have been notified by the vet that Ruth has bordatello among other viruses.
It is unfortunate that this series of events has led down this path of a sudden financial burden and we hope that enough funds can be raised to cover most of the medical vet bills that were incurred as a cause of Ruth's sudden onset of Pneumonia. Emma and David have also had to cancel their upcoming vacation plans in order to be able to care for Ruth as she continues to recover.
We want to believe in the saying that "Good things happen to good people?" - so please show these two very good people and their new pup some love by lending a helping hand and help them get a new start that they deserve.
