Help Me Bring Little Wild Things to Life — A Community-Driven Kids’ Store for Ukiah and Beyond

Hi friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers —

My name is Heather Ovieda, and I’m a single mom of two with a dream that’s been growing right alongside my kids: to open Little Wild Things, a community-first secondhand and consignment store for children’s clothing, shoes, toys, books, and more.

This store isn’t just a business — it’s a movement.

In Ukiah, our options for kids’ shopping are limited to big box stores or high-end boutiques. There’s a huge gap for something in between — a warm, welcoming space where families can shop high-quality items at affordable prices, pass along gently loved treasures to other parents, and feel a genuine sense of community.

Little Wild Things will be:

• A thoughtfully curated store filled with gently used children’s items

• A place where parents can consign and earn from the things their children have outgrown

• A hub for community connection, swap events, and giving

• A resource for mothers in need through our Giving Program, where donated items are transformed into free care packages delivered directly to families in our community

Every dollar raised will go toward securing our retail space, stocking the store, building out a beautiful and functional space, and launching our programs that serve local moms. My goal is to open Little Wild Things by August 1st, and I’ve found the perfect space right in the heart of Ukiah. It’s central, walkable, and ideal for the kind of community-centered store I envision.

Here’s how your donation helps:

• $25 helps cover basic supplies like hangers, tags, and signage

• $50 supports our Giving Program by helping us bundle donation kits for moms in need

• $100 helps cover racks, shelving, and display fixtures

• $500+ goes toward securing our storefront, building infrastructure, and launching this business for the long haul
