Little Watson was rescued off the streets of St. Lucia in the Caribbean around Christmas time last year. He was found lying in the middle of the road, completely giving up on life, having just lost his sister. He joined our family here in Canada in January and is an absolutely delightful little fellow!
Not even two years old, Watson is full of puppyish curiosity and energy, he's growing in confidence every day and loves to cuddle. He barks at squirrels and chews on library books and loves children. He's a best friend to our other rescue dog, Fosse, even though he steals his bones and play bites his ears. We love him very much!

Watson was recently diagnosed with a transmissible venereal cancer (TVT) which he picked up whilst living on the streets. It's extremely rare here in Canada which makes it difficult to treat. He had a huge tumour removed recently, at a high price, but now needs at least 4 chemotherapy treatments with a specialist in Toronto.
This couldn't come at a more difficult time for us, since my wife and I are self-employed artists and have lost almost all avenues of income due to COVID-19. We're scraping by and doing everything we can. He's so incredibly full of life, the option to put him down is just unthinkable. Luckily there is a 95% chance that the treatments will completely cure this little guy and he could go on to live a long, happy life. We would be forever grateful for donations of ANY size towards his treatment! Thank you for reading Watson's story.
