My name is Amanda and I live near Ted in New Milton, Hampshire - I’m trying to help his owner with a massive vet bill following Ted being very seriously injured. Ted is a little terrier cross, less than two years old, who last week (mid May 2025) was attacked from the rear by a pack of dogs when he was out on a lead walk with his owner’s mum. Ted suffered injuries from multiple deep bites to his bottom and back legs, needing external and surgery/internal stitches, found it hard to put weight on his back legs and couldn’t walk or be left alone. Some of the wounds have become infected and further diagnostics have revealed he has a fractured pelvis and will need further surgery on 22nd May. Whilst Ted’s welfare is the biggest concern, the vet bill is running into thousands as he has needed emergency and ongoing specialist care. The bill currently stands at approx £11,000, less a charitable donation from the vet. The owner has insurance but at least £3,000 short of the total and I’d like to try and help her raise this. The full total won’t be confirmed until treatment is completed. Can you help by contributing and/or sharing the appeal? Every contribution, no matter how small, will help. EXTRA NOTE: On Monday 30th June Ted was once again admitted into in-patient care at the specialist vets, SCVS in Ringwood, with an infection in a large wound which had been stitched, then stitches removed. A further £2500 is needed so the goal amount has been adjusted to reflect that. Thank you.
