Building Little Social

Welcome! We are Abbi and Dylan Leitnaker, pediatric therapists and Johnson City natives who want to bring a Montessori-style playhouse to our growing downtown. Through our time with our clients and over the last few years with our own children, we have discovered the need for a safe and stimulating indoor space for parents/caregivers to bring their children to engage in child-led play.

Little Social brings our knowledge of child development and our personal parenting experience together to create a unique play space that will offer indoor and outdoor areas to foster imaginative and functional play. Little Social will be in a house downtown, open to the public, and include the following areas: a music/art room, reading/puzzles room, a building and construction room, a sensory gym, a room for dramatic play, an infant-specific room, and an outdoor play space. We also plan to incorporate community events such as music time, kid's yoga, and story time.

We hope that Little Social will provide the young families in Johnson City with a safe and comfortable "playroom away from home" where parents and caregivers can meet other parents, as well as find new inspiration to engage with their own children.

Renovations are currently underway, and we can't wait to share more about the property as we are able. All funds raised here will go directly towards purchasing the toys and objects we curated to fill each of the rooms.
