OBJECTIVE: Raising funds to assist co-worker and his family to cover expenses for the care of their daughter (Sharon)
BACK GROUND: Adam and Amanda are a young married couple and were very happy to become pregnant last year. However Amanda began to notice some difficulties, and followed up with frequent trips to the Doctor and to the hospital. Due to her condition she was admitted to the hospital (for mandatory bed rest). She had spent 57 days in the hospital prior to the birth (11/20/18) of their premature daughter. It was (medically) advised that her child would do better if delivered earlier.
Complications arose due to a diaphragmatic hernia which left her unable to breathe and feed normally (currently on a feeding tube). Their daughter has undergone numerous tests. At this writing she has just undergone surgery for repair to her esophagus and trachea both of which were underdeveloped. Sharon still has other complications with her heart and kidneys. Adam and Amanda continue to stay with Sharon (who is still in NICU/60 days and counting).
Both parents are of course overwhelmed and exhausted by this; physically, emotionally and financially. My co-workers and I would like to help lessen their financial burden (by funding) and reduce some of their expenses (current and future issues for Sharon’s care). We ask you to pass this cause along to anyone you may know that would be willing to help. Adam and Amanda need as much time with Sharon as possible. For those of you that know how traumatic a premature baby can be, we ask for your prayers and any financial support you can offer. We only have their best interest in our hearts, so your prayers, your money or your talents are all acceptable.
