Hi, my name is Laura and I am doing a fundraiser to help my big brother Scottie and his son my nephew Little Scottie who is 15. He was walking home and was hit by a midsized truck traveling about 65 mph. He was taken by ambulance to East Georgia Regional Hospital in Statesboro then life-flight flew him to Memorial Children's Hospital in Savannah Georgia. (which is a 1-hour drive from Metter, GA where they live.) There he underwent one surgery for a broken pelvis and will need more. He is stable for the moment. My brother is a single dad and raising 2 children on his own. He works full-time as a car mechanic at a local shop in town and lives check to check to support his family. Any donation will help with medical costs, physical therapy, and equipment needed. (They will need a wheelchair, ramp to the house, bathroom handles and other medical equipment at home.)Scott was told that the surgery is the first step of many more to come to see if Little Scottie will be able to walk again. This will not be determined until the swelling and other surgeries get done. It is one day at a time at this moment. Little Scottie is an active 15-year boy that loves to ride his bike, fish, and just be silly. He can make you smile and jokes about everything. Thank you for your support.
