Little Sadie’s Type 1 diabetes diagnosis

Eighteen months ago my 5 year old little boy was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. One of my beautiful girlfriends Saskia was there for my family, full of love and support. My heart is broken that this week her gorgeous little girl Sadie , who is not yet two, is also facing a type 1 diagnosis. Saskia is an experienced and wonderful paediatric nurse. Spending her career supporting children and their families at their most difficult moments.

Now it’s our turn to help her. A new diagnosis is a devastating time that brings with it a huge financial burden. Taking time off work to process the diagnosis and get support in place so Sadie is able to attend childcare is often a long process. Acquiring an insulin pump can be enormously expensive as well. If you are able ,any help that you can provide would be so gratefully received. Thank you
