The Little River Railroad of Coldwater, Michigan is raising funds for a wheelchair lift.

The Little River Railroad has given thousands of passengers fun, exciting, and enjoyable train rides throughout it’s many years of operation. During this time, a ramp was built to help those with mobility issues get aboard our train.

However, this ramp is cumbersome & heavy (requiring four people to lift in position.) and had a tendency to become a little slippery when it gets wet.

It is this reason why we are holding this fundraiser to raise funds for the purchase of a wheelchair lift. It can be operated by one person and is used by Amtrak and several other tourist railroads throughout the United States.

The initial estimate is around $10,000 for its purchase and shipping. If the cost is less, the remaining monies will go directly toward the operation of the railroad so it may bring many more joyful memories for years to come.
