Little Red Fox employee relief fund
On March 16th we made the frightening decision to close Little Red Fox & Sugar Fox in order to better assess the quickly escalating COVID-19 pandemic while keeping our staff and customers safe. These are terribly uncertain times where difficult decisions have to be made every day with the best available information. We've done our best to take care of our wonderful staff during the two week closure, offering paid time off to everyone.
The current plan is to keep Sugar Fox closed, as it qualifies as a non-essential business & we cannot accommodate safe social distancing in our small space.
For Little Red Fox, we plan to reopen with a small staff as a curbside take-out & delivery operation starting April 1st. We're hopeful that with the careful planning, safety measures, and infrastructure we've put into place for this new format, we will be able to provide an essential service for our community (think: groceries, prepared foods, sandwiches, coffee). And if successful, we will be adding jobs back as quickly as we can.
For now, we're concerned in the short term for the employees that we can no longer provide with jobs and for whom social assistance may be hard to receive or inadequate. If you've enjoyed the friendly service, delicious food, and comforting atmosphere of our stores, please know it is all possible due to the hard work of our staff.
100% of funds raised here will go directly to staff who lost their positions due to the pandemic. Thank you in advance for your generosity and compassion during this very challenging time in our world.
