Meet Raya! She is a year and a half and was born with three different heart conditions, Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD), Levo- transposition of the great arteries, and Pulmonary and Sub Pulmonary Stenosis. At the University of Michigan Hospital, Raya spent the first two months of her life away from family and underwent several procedures. Over the last year, Raya has faced several battles. She has experienced multiple strokes, seizures, and underwent two different heart surgeries, where they placed stents to assist with her heart. However, the stents were not as effective, and her heart started to decline. Due to the decline, Raya underwent another heart surgery where they placed a shunt instead of the stent. After several procedures, Raya’s parents (Andy and Corinne) were told that they would have to return to Michigan for a big open heart surgery repair. She is scheduled for the repair to be completed in the middle of October. We are asking for donations to assist the family with medical and travel expenses, as they will not have any income coming in during this time. We thank you in advanced for the prayers and donations during this difficult time.
