Little Ray of SUNshine Fund

Our amazing friend Nichole (Madden) Sun passed away November 4, 2015 after a two year battle with breast cancer. This fund was created to honor Nichole by providing a day of relaxation to a deserving breast cancer patient.  The fund is organized be Nichole's close friends with the support and blessing of her family. Nichole so enjoyed going to the spa with her friends, especially when she felt well enough during and just after treatment. She always felt lucky that she was able to do this knowing many others did not have the means to afford it. Each year on Nichole's birthday we would like to give a "Little Ray of SUNshine" to a patient who has recently finished treatment. It will include hand made gifts from Nichole's closest friends and a spa gift certificate to be used at the patient's discretion. We are hopeful that we can raise enough to also send a caregiver with the patient. Treatment for cancer can be grueling for the patient and is heartbreaking for the caregiver watching their loved one suffer. We are hoping that this gift of "SUNshine" will provide a day of rejuvenation, reconnection and respite following treatment. Every little bit helps get us to our goal. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support to make this dream a reality.
