Little Nest Rescue

Hi!

My name is Philippa and I volunteer at a small horse and animal rescue in Cadishead, and I will be running a 10K on 14th June to raise money for the rescue!

When I was younger, I did a lot of horse riding and always had a keen interest in them, and during the summer of last year, I decided to get back into the hobby, which I loved so much, and it came at a time when I needed it.

I saw an advertisement for volunteers at the rescue, and never looked back!

The rescue is fully dependent on volunteers and donations, which is why I’ve decided to run 10K to raise money. This is something I never thought I’d do, but when I started couch to 5K, I was hooked!

The team at the rescue love the animals like their own, and show sheer determination to ensure they receive the highest standard of care. They’ve rescued horses from meat farms in other countries, severe neglect, alpacas and feral cats from hoarding who aren’t suitable to be re-homed, l give them the life they deserve, and find the perfect homes for them!

The money raised will go towards a haybell for the horses and ponies in the field, which would be a massive help in summer!
