Its easy to say the past few days have been the worst and most terrifying in my life. December 29th Started as a normal day. We went to a weight check appointment for our 2 week old baby where I voiced some concerns about Nakota. Checking his vitals we find his body temperature and oxygen levels were low. His amazing pediatrician acted fast and swabbed for everything under the sun. We learned shortly after our little blessing has COVID. We took an ambulance ride from his pediatricians office to MU Childrens hospital. While in the ambulance our little man stopped breathing. Since arriving Wednesday he has been sedated and intubated. Little change has happened since then. We have done lots of tests and imaging to check every box possible to make sure we arent missing anything else. Please pray for my little man. Send good vibes, light a candle, what ever you believe in. I have never been so scared in my life and I have never prayed so hard. I pray we make some changes soon because he has been through SO much in his 2 short weeks of life. I just need him to be okay.

With our little man having COVID everyone in the house was tested and now our girls are quarintined at home with dad who is our primary source of income so bills are quickly piling up. At this point little Nakota will be in the PICU well into the new year which makes things tricky in figuring out who will be with the girls when dad is able to return to work. I'm normally not the person to ask for help when we are down but at this point we are way past struggling after being in the NICU his first 8 days of life. So anything you can give, weather it be prayer, a share, or a donation, our family would be incredibly grateful.
