UPDATE:

David & Bailey are still in Florida. Romy is doing great. It has not been the easiest of times for them. Seems everyday is a new adventure for them and not in a good way. I am hopeful they will release Romy soon so they can get back here to Wisconsin. If you have the means to donate it is greatly appreciated. Please keep them in your thoughts & prayers.

UPDATE: Romy arrived on 3/15. She was 31 weeks, 7 weeks early. She will remain in the NICU. Both Mom and baby are doing good. The reality is setting in that no one is leaving Florida any time soon. Please if you can help ease the stress it would be greatly appreciated. Sharing this post or contributing anything you can would be welcomed by all.

As most of you know I am going to be a first time G-Ma with both my kids having babies this year. One in May & one in June. Life rarely follows the “plan” so to speak. I am sure I have talked or posted about my son in law being a Tarpon fishing guide in Florida February thru April while his employer shuts down for the winter months. Here’s were the curve ball comes in. Bailey made a trip to visit this week and GB # 1 has decided she wants to be born in the sunshine state. Not a huge problem except she is around 6-7 weeks early on the arrival. Bailey is in the hospital in Naples and will remain there until its time for delivery. At this point, the baby is fine 4 lbs 7 oz with all vitals on target. Her water did break so they are monitoring both of them very closely for infection and any stress on the baby . The ideal situation is for GB to stay put for another 2 weeks but that is likely not going to happen. This has been extremely stressful for all of us 1st time Mom & Dad and G-ma. A new baby is the most precious gift one can ask for. I am trying to alleviate some of this stress on the financial side of this situation. This goes way beyond my ability to assist. David has farmed out his charters so he can be at the hospital with Bailey should delivery take place. Bailey has had to start her maternity leave from the amazing family she works for much earlier than expected. They will have to stay in Florida with the GB in the NICU until the actual due date which is May 9th I can not even grasp the medical, Florida as well as WI expenses. I would like them to be able to focus on the well being of both Mom & baby and not this extremely unexpected situation. Any & I do mean any assistance that can be given will be so much appreciated.
