Little Mauro needs some support to get out of NICU!

I don't have many close friends, but Carolina and Raul are the two friends I always wish were there when we have events, parties, or when we just want to sit down and eat with other people.

When I found out they were having TWINS, I couldn't believe it!

I watched as Carolina's belly grew to inhuman proportions, swelling to the size of two large watermelons (TWO!).

But Caro? All she did was send love to her two darling boys, take all the medication and preventative measures possible to make sure her babies had the best start in life. From day 1, I knew she would be an incredible mom.

Her two angels finally said hello to the world on June 19th, (Geminis, so fitting!), and I was thrilled to see a message from her when I woke up with a photo of this charming little creature staring at her with loving eyes, but where is Mauro?

Both babies were a healthy 3kg when born, but Mauro was having difficulty breathing and was rushed to the NICU. He spent the night in the NICU, but in Mexico, these treatments come at a hefty price. As it stands, Mauro might have to leave the NICU tomorrow, when he could benefit from some extra time to have his little lungs catch up.

Can we, as a community, help little Mauro in his first days on this Earth?

No tengo muchos amigos cercanos, pero Carolina y Raúl son los dos amigos que siempre desearía que estuvieran ahí cuando tenemos eventos, fiestas o simplemente queremos sentarnos a comer con otras personas.

Cuando me enteré de que iban a tener GEMELOS, ¡no podía creerlo!

Vi cómo la barriga de Carolina crecía hasta alcanzar proporciones inhumanas, hinchándose hasta el tamaño de dos sandías grandes (¡DOS!).

¿Pero Caro? Lo único que hizo fue enviarles mucho cariño a sus dos queridos hijos, tomar todos los medicamentos y medidas preventivas posibles para asegurarse de que sus bebés tuvieran el mejor comienzo en la vida. Desde el primer día, supe que sería una mamá increíble.

Sus dos angelitos finalmente llegaron al mundo el 19 de junio (¡Géminis, qué apropiado!), y me emocioné al ver un mensaje suyo al despertar con una foto de esta encantadora criaturita mirándola con ojos de amor, pero ¿dónde está Mauro?

Ambos bebés pesaron un saludable 3kg a su nacimiento, pero Mauro tenía dificultad para respirar y fue llevado de urgencia a la UCIN al nacer. Pasó la noche en la UCIN, pero en México, estos tratamientos tienen un precio muy alto. Tal como están las cosas, Mauro podría tener que salir de la UCIN mañana, cuando podría beneficiarse de un tiempo extra para que sus pulmoncitos se recuperen.
