Hi there my name is Luna.

I am an 8 month old Abyssinian kitten who really needs your help. I am extremely poorly and have been diagnosed with Hemolytic anaemia. This means my body is destroying it's own blood cells. Whilst the lovely veterinarian has saved my life, they are yet to determine any underlying cause of this as I am not quite strong enough yet.

My owner Jade tells me I am so beautiful and sweet, I am always ready to play and get up to mischief. This was until 9 days ago when I found myself extremely ill to the point I lost bladder control and was rushed to the emergency vets. Here they established I had a blood count of only 3, which is extremely low. So far, I have had to have three blood transfusions. The first one was life saving but only temporary, as it was canine blood. After the second transfusion, using feline blood, I started to feel a little better. This unfortunately didn't last as I experienced breathing difficulties and went into respiritory arrest. Thankfully the amazing vets at Willows were at hand to give me the best care. I have have a third transfusion since then and have managed to regain some strength and I'm feeling a little better. My owner Jade has been to visit me and is happy I am making progress.

Despite having pet insurance of £7500, unfortunately my bill has exceeded this and is rapidly growing. As I still need further testing, such as blood tests, and medication. The policy renews in March 2026.

A donation of even as little as £1 will make a difference to my on going care, and my owner Jade. Who, just a few months before I came into her life lost her first cat Fusa to diabetes at the age of 13.

I am not 'just a cat' to Jade or my family, I am one of the family. I have taken on Fusa's role of making this world a better place for Jade and helping her smile again.
