On the 18th of January 2019 we had to say hello and goodbye to our beautiful baby girl Lucy who was stillborn at full term. Throughout the pregnancy myself and her dad Philip told anyone who asked if we wanted a boy or girl that we wanted a surprise and Lucy gave us that. She was born 8 pounds of perfect beauty, chubby cherub cheeks and a mop of jinny joe blonde hair. A day that was supposed to be the most exciting in our lives was flipped in a few short hours into absolute heartbreak when we found out her little heart had stopped the day before she was due.

From the very start Feileacain have supported myself and Philip on this very sad journey. They provided the memory box that we hold so dear, a lock of her hair and imprints of her hands and feet are just a couple of examples of the things we will forever treasure thanks to Feileacain. However more importantly Feileacain gave us the gift of time with Lucy both in the hospital and at home. They provided us with what is known as a Cuddlecot so we could spend every second we could with her, we even got to bring her home before finally saying goodbye.

These memories and the time we spent with Lucy is so precious and for this reason I'd like to raise money for this amazing charity so that they can continue providing the gift of time to other parents who are unfortunately experiencing the loss of a child.
