Help Us Lift Up Levi
A Brave Little Boy Fighting A Big Battle
We come to you as two best friends and as parents, trying to find words to describe something no parent should ever have to face — and asking for your help for a little boy who means the absolute world to so many of us.
Levi is just 3 years old — full of life, a huge laugh and a lot of love. He has the kind of personality that lights up every room he enters. Whether he’s belting out his favorite songs, playing with his dinosaurs, or asking for pizza. Levi lives joyfully, and that joy is contagious.
Just a week ago, what was deemed as an injury quickly spiraled into every parent’s worst nightmare. At first, doctors said it was muscular. But after ER visits and persistent symptoms, an MRI revealed the unthinkable — a mass on Levi’s brain.
He was immediately life flighted to a children’s hospital where a 3-hour MRI confirmed it: a Grade 3 Ependymoma brain tumor located between his cerebellum and brain stem, beginning to wrap around his spinal cord. Within days, Levi underwent a 5-hour brain surgery to remove the tumor. Miraculously, surgeons were able to remove the entire mass. But the battle wasn’t over.
A few days later, oncology confirmed our worst fears — it was cancer.
As if that wasn't enough, Levi is now also battling rhinovirus, complicating his recovery and keeping him in the Pediatric ICU at this time. Through it all, Levi has remained the strong, silly, lovable boy we all adore. His strength is nothing short of inspiring.
What Comes Next
Levi’s next step is a six-week radiation treatment at CHOP (Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia). The journey ahead will be lifelong, emotional, and expensive — but Levi is a fighter, and we’re standing beside him every step of the way.
His family is doing everything they can. His mom, Cortney Zuckerman (O’Malley) who is self-employed) and dad, Dan Zuckerman are rotating shifts between the hospital and home to keep life as normal as possible for Levi’s older sister, Zoey — a bright, loving girl who misses her brother and her parents being together under one roof.
But the truth is — they can’t do this alone.
How You Can Help
We’re raising funds to help offset the massive costs this family will be facing:
• Medical bills and ongoing treatment
• Travel and lodging to and from Philadelphia
• Food and daily essentials
• Lost income, especially for Mom as a self-employed parent
• Support for Zoey, who is trying to stay strong while her world is turned upside down
• Prayers for Levi and his family
Your donation, no matter how small, will help give Levi a fighting chance — and help this incredible family stay afloat during the hardest time of their lives.
We ask you to find it in your heart to help bring Levi back to the things he loves most: watching Danny Go, dancing and singing in every room he steps into, playing dinosaurs, and eating pizza with his big sister.
He’s our buddy. Our bright light. And he deserves to shine for many, many years to come. #teamLevi #liftUpLevi #Love4Levi
