This is Little Kitty (affectionately known as Kit Kat). She is around 9 years old and I adopted her about a year and a half ago. She is well loved by myself, my roommates, and everyone she meets! I’ve included some pictures here, but for more check out her Instagram: @littlekitty_14
About 3 months ago I began to notice some issues. I took her to the vet, who didn’t notice anything alarming at the time, and we put her on an antibiotic and a bland diet. She seemed to be doing better for a few weeks, but then began vomiting blood. I immediately took her to the emergency vet since it was outside of normal vet hours, they put her on another medication and sent her home. The vomiting stopped, but then she began defecating abnormally, quite often with blood in it. She has been doing so outside of the litter box, which the vet thinks is her way of telling us something is wrong. Once this started, I took her to the vet who examined her and noticed an “approximately apple sized spherical firm mass in mid-abdomen… appears to be associated with intestinal tract, may have been related to previously noted symptoms, difficult to know how long it has been there.” I was given 2 different options from here:

Option 1- This would be my last resort in the case that surgery is not possible:
Palliative care - do some medications to keep her comfortable overall,
quality of life will likely continue to decline, humane euthanasia may eventually be kindest.

Option 2- this option was given at 2 different price points with the understanding that the more expensive one would yield more thorough and likely better results:
Exploration and Surgery- diagnostics for staging and abdominal exploratory surgery to see if mass can be removed and resected along with further treatment such as chemo depending on tumor type. Mass/biopsies would be sent out for histo. There’s a chance the mass may be non-resectable or not heal well and result in severe complications. Because of this, they would do basic diagnostics before proceeding with the surgery itself. The lower price point would come to around $3,000 and the higher price point would land around $5,000.

They were not able to give me an estimate on how fast this is progressing, so I’m unsure of the timeframe, so the sooner the better to get started on the process!
I would love to give her the best care possible, but since I’m a college student, this isn’t something I can realistically try to do on my own. Any help would be greatly appreciated! My Venmo is @lizzieblanchard
If digital payment is not an option, reach out privately and I can give my address for sending cash/check.

Again, I appreciate anything you can do, even if it is just a share or a like. I thank you all in advance for helping me take care of my baby❤️
