Little John Paul is a happy adventurous bright 3 year old boy. He was life flighted to Fargo ND on Friday Oct 16th due to low oxygen and low hemoglobin levels. No indications of this other than he had some cold symptoms that his parents brought him into the doctor for and was taken to the life flight within hrs of arriving at the clinic. He spent the weekend getting many blood transfusions to get his hemoglobin levels back to where they should be, but they just wouldn’t stay up. The doctors decided that once his levels were high enough for it they would do a bone marrow draw. Once the results came back if he had leukemia they would do a surgery to add a port for chemotherapy. He got through the port surgery and bone marrow draw like a champ! He is so strong and staying happy even when he doesn’t feel well at all. The results came back and it’s confirmed he has A.L.L leukemia. He starts chemotherapy today(Tuesday oct 20th)
The family lives a few hours away from the hospital where John is at, John lives with his loving parents an older and younger sister and family pet. They will have to suspend working and travel back and forth to move to Fargo to live in hotels until johns chemotherapy is over, hopefully this is just for a month or two. We are asking for any donations to help with medical bills. Any money left over will be donated to children’s oncology groups for research.
we want to thank anyone who is able to help out so much! And to please keep John in your prayers! Thank you!
